Just ask our teen leaders of Team Swift! Team Swift had the opportunity to prove just how much they’ve mastered the art of communication, overcoming difficulties, awareness, and working in a team through celebrating complementary skills and strengths. “How did they prove their savvy”, you ask?

By visiting MindSpark Tempe of course! With the looming fear of "live" zombies, Team Swift was prepared for the ultimate team building activity at the best, local escape room!

is one way our teen leaders described this experience. 

As you know, Team Swift provides an additional leadership opportunity for current Camp Swift counselors. The group has met twice a month during the school year to better equip its members with the skills necessary to pursue their goals for Swift Youth Foundation and beyond.

​Members of Team Swift serve as ambassadors for the organization.  They take on fundraising campaigns for Arizona Gives Day, engage in community outreach activities, and assist with program development. As a reward for their great efforts during Arizona Gives Day and to celebrate their great success developing their leadership skills, Team Swift chose the exciting MindSpark Escape Room for their culminating end of year celebration.

Through the generosity of MindSpark Tempe, Team Swift was able to have this experience completely free of charge. Valuing the work of Swift Youth Foundation, MindSpark Tempe was happy to extend this opportunity to our teen leaders and see if they really had what it takes to escape the room! 

As you can see, the teens had a great time developing a plan, testing their leadership skills, communicating in the chaos, seeking solutions, and working to try and succeed together as a team. By the time when the clock had run out, Team Swift felt like they had worked productively together all while having a fun time. This is an experience that we highly recommend and hope you will try the next time you are in Sun Devil country aka “Tempe”!
