Meet Niamey!

Swift Youth Foundation is excited to welcome a new member to the family. This is Niamey, she will be working with Club Swift and Swift After school program as the Program Coordinator. She is serving with the Swift family for the next 10 months as part of her professional/leadership development program, “Public Allies” which is an organization within the Americorps. Public Allies is an organization committed to creating a “just and equitable society and the diverse leadership to sustain it.” Niamey’s main job is to increase Capacity building (process of developing skills and abilities within organizations) within our programs. She will be creating and implementing the curriculum for Club Swift and Swift After School program. We are excited to have her, she will be in the office so please feel free to stop by and give her a Grilled Cheesy welcome! Here’s what Niamey has to say:

“Hi Swift!
I am excited to be working with such a great and dedicated organization. I have heard such great things about the campers, the parents and the different partner organizations, and I cannot forget the funny story about the Grilled Cheese Day (excited to experience it at camp 2018). I am an Arizona State University alumni, and an active community member. I believe in order to effect change you must first change within, then play an important and active role in others lives. I am excited to bring some creative and informative activities to the Swift Community around Self-awareness, goal setting and being an effective community leader.
I teach Hip-Hop dance classes/residencies all over the valley and danced for the 2017 Phoenix Mercury WNBA team, among playing a role in many other dance crews, companies, and competitive teams. I enjoy reading, working out, eating and traveling. I love to laugh and hope to make many memories with you all! Thanks for taking the time to check me out!”
