Do you have a teacher? Do you know a teacher? Have you ever had a teacher? Well if you answered, "yes" to any of the above, then this is the craft for you! Show your appreciation for the people who work tirelessly to get you to your best with this simple craft. All you need is...Supply List:
Get ready to get crafty...1. Pick out roughly 32 crayons. (PRO TIP: try to find the lightly used crayons) We picked rainbow colors, but feel free to experiment and make it unique to the teacher whom you are appreciating! Some great design ideas include utilizing just “the blues” or showcasing “the brights”. **If you haven't already done so, now would be an awesome time to warm up your glue gun. 2. Organize your crayons however you think best. We chose to do rainbow concept ala ROY G. BIV, but again, the world is your oyster! Make this extra special by making it uniques to your favorite teacher. 3. You're ready to assemble! (PRO TIP: remove the mason jar lid before you begin gluing - we learned this the hard way) Hot glue the crayon opposite to the logo and FIRMLY and very CAREFULLY place glue side on to the mason jar. Repeat this process working through your crayon arrangement. We had a lot of trial and error, if you make a mistake, no worries! Just pop off the crayons and begin the process again. 4. Fill jar with your choice of goodies! Once you have completed gluing all of the crayons around the jar, allow to cool. Then fill the mason jar with goodies that your favorite teacher will love! Some great options are flowers, pens, or pencils. Keep in mind the more functional the gift the more it will likely be appreciated by your teacher recipient. Tie a pipe cleaner or ribbon bow and present the finished gift to your teacher! |
