The Club Swift Jr program is designed to foster the positive development of middle school youth, through outdoor experiential learning opportunities with teen mentors. The overarching goal of the program is to continue supporting the social and emotional development of youth participants in Swift programs as they age into middle school and transition to high school.
Club Swift Jr will effectively bridge the gap between our current youth programs, which end in 6th grade, and our high school leadership programs. Since middle school is such a critical time in youth development, we believe it is important to continue fostering the mentor relationships between youth participants and teen volunteers as they transition to a new school for 7th and 8th grades. Through these relationships, middle school students will gain valuable skills and experiences that will positively contribute to their development. |
