Camp Swift is my favorite place in the entire world. It has taught me compassion and how to truly give my all to an experience. Thank you for making me, me. -Judith Giller-Leinwhol
Swift Youth Foundation proudly honors the legacy of our cherished volunteer, Judith Giller-Leinwohl, who passed away in 2022. Judith’s journey with Swift began in high school, igniting a passion that only grew stronger over the years. She played vital roles in our organization, serving as a volunteer coordinator during the academic year and various roles during Camp Swift. Her unwavering commitment to helping others inspired her to reach out and positively impact the lives of countless children.
At Camp Swift, we charge a nominal fee for our teen counselors to help cover their costs. Unfortunately, this fee can discourage former campers from pursuing counselor positions. Judith recognized this barrier and passionately believed that every interested teen should have the chance to participate as a counselor. In her honor, the Judith Giller-Leinwohl Scholarship was born, ensuring that financial constraints will never prevent a dedicated teen from becoming a role model for the next generation.
