We've provided over 15,000 life-changing experiences to youth and teens since 1980.
Basic NeedsPhysical comfort and a full stomach are essential for youth engagement. Swift provides the youth and teens we serve with a snack or meal at every program, as well as clothing, sleeping bags, and shelter during our residential overnight programs.
|
Life SkillsIn schools, life-skills education is often overshadowed by a focus on academic achievement. Swift’s programs incorporate the development of essential life skills such as character building, leadership training, goal setting, and teamwork.
|
OpportunitiesExposure to new opportunities can open many doors to future success. Swift aims to provide the young people we serve with an abundance of opportunities otherwise unavailable to them, such as overnight camp experiences and mentor relationships.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
HELP FOR A CAUSEMore than a camp, the Swift Youth Foundation provides year-round mentoring programs that pair economically disadvantaged youth with college-bound high school students - a powerful alliance that turns both the campers' and counselors' worlds "RIGHT SIDE UP!"

"The values a camper learns at camp can impact their life with things as little as making their bed or eating a healthy breakfast, camp helps a kid be themselves without being judged, and Camp Swift helps kids do things like making goals for their future. It is so important for me that people know how Camp Swift helps and changes the lives of everyone involved with the organization."

“It was amazing when I was taught how to swim because then I was able to do it. At camp I also learned that its better to not be a bully. Bullies have no friends. On the overnight I learned that I could trust my friends and counselors to get me where I was going. My counselors gave me a lot of good advice.” -Evelyn, age 10

“Camp Swift was the first camp many of our children have ever attended, which gave them a new and positive experience! They are still talking about what a wonderful time they had and how lucky they felt to be a part of a warm and friendly community. Our families are successful and believe they are important because of your kind support. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the children and families of Homeward Bound. We are so grateful!”
