Camp Swift Counselors
Each year, approximately 100 teens serve as volunteer counselors at Camp Swift. Most of our teen volunteers say that their experience as a counselor is the most life-changing and eye-opening experience they have ever had. The counselor program instills in teens a commitment to social action and a sense of responsibility, and the experience significantly enhances leadership, social and communication skills.
Club Swift program is a leadership program led by multiple Swift counselors at their varying high schools to further engage more teen counselors and mentors through out Phoenix.
Current high school clubs:
Brophy College Preparatory, Horizon High School, Pinnacle High School, Phoenix Country Day School
Next high school clubs:
Desert Mountain High School, North Canyon High School
The Teen Leadership Board provides an additional leadership opportunity for current Camp Swift counselors. The group meets twice a month to equip members with the skills necessary to pursue their goals for Swift Youth Foundation and beyond.
Members of the Teen Leadership Board serve as ambassadors for the organization. They take on fundraising campaigns for Arizona Gives Day, engage in community outreach activities, assist with program development and more.
Club Swift Jr.
The Club Swift Jr program is designed to foster the positive development of middle school youth, through outdoor experiential learning opportunities with teen mentors. The overarching goal of the program is to continue supporting the social and emotional development of youth participants in Swift programs as they age into middle school and transition to high school.
