Swift Donor Privacy Policy

As a donor submitting personally identifying information ("Personal Information") to Swift, or any of our staff, you consent to the terms and conditions of the policy and to our processing and use ofPersonal Information for the purposes stated below.
"Personal Information" is information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address. We collect and store Personal Information under various circumstances, which may include (1) when you communicate with us through an email address identified on our website or otherwise contact us in person, by phone or email, (2) when you register for an event, or (3) when you make a contribution, either on our website, at a special event, over the phone, or by mailing a check. From time to time, we may collect Personal Information from you in ways not described above.
We will not sell, share or trade our donors' names or other Personal Information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.
We have adopted a Privacy Awareness Policy, under which all employees of Swift are instructed to take appropriate steps to safeguard Personal Information and other donor/customer information. Specifically, all Swift employees are instructed, among other things, to access donor/customer data when there is a business-related need; to use an appropriate cloud-based program (rather than email) in sharing files with colleagues; and to refrain from (a) disclosing donor/customer data to unauthorized individuals, (b) disclosing donor/customer-related business in public places, (c) copying donor/customer data to a portable devices such as a tablet, smart phone, USB device, etc., or (d) copying donor/customer files to a local hard drive.
We will collect payment information, billing address and other information necessary to process a donation or event registration.
We will use your Personal Information to comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us.
We will use donors' Personal Information to protect against potential fraud. We may verify with third parties the information collected in the course of processing a gift, event registration or other donation. If you use a credit or debit card on the Swift website, we may use card authorization and fraud screening services to verify that your card information and address matches the information that you supplied to us and that the card being used has not been reported lost or stolen.

Except as described in this Privacy Policy or at the time we request the information, we do not otherwise disclose your Personal Information to any third parties.
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will note the last update at the top of this Privacy Policy.
