Time, talent, and treasure.
When supporting the organizations that we care most about, we generally volunteer our time, utilize our special skills through donating an in-kind service, and/or most often- generously give of our treasure (financial support). But what about when we find a cause that we care about and want to do something a little more intentional?
Recently, Arden, found herself in need of some service hours and wanted to work with an organization that she cared about. After hearing about how much fun her older sister Emma had creating art kits for Swift a few years ago, she decided to reach out to Kaylie and see what the organization's biggest need was. After a quick conversation, Arden found out that she could make the greatest impact through raising funds to help wash all of the Camp Swift sleeping bags. To raise the funds necessary, Arden decided to start a fundraiser and promote for support of her cause. Below, take a look how Arden is putting a unique spin on supporting Swift through her fundraising page-
"Hi, I’m Arden Blackstone and I’m in eighth grade. For my National Junior Honor Society project I am collecting gently used sleeping bags and money to donate to Camp Swift. I chose to support Camp Swift because I go to an overnight camp over the summer and know how special the experience is. I want as many kids as possible to experience the joy camp gives you! I hope the impact of sleeping bags and money to clean sleeping bags will give the kids a comfortable place to sleep.
Please see my GoFundMe page for instructions on how to donate a sleeping bag or to make a monetary donation. Thank you so much!"
